14 bildberättelser
Avgångseleverna på bildjournalistprogrammet vid Mittuniversitetet ställer
ut 14 bildberättelser på temat “What is Swedish?”.
Det är den svenska identiteten som undersökts och sökandet har tagit
eleverna över fem kontinenter. Ämnena som behandlas är bland annat svenska
glamourmodeller, dansband, raggarbrudar, Sverige-Chilenare i Valparaiso,
skogsindustrin och adoption i Kenya.
Utbildningen är den enda bildjournalistikutbildningen på universitetsnivå
i landet. I det här projektet samarbetar vi med den prisbelönta fotografen
John Kimmich som även arbetar som professor i fotografi i Iowa i USA.
Hans Strand
Hans Strand was born in 1955 in Marmaverken, Sweden. After a 9 nine year career in mechanical engineering he decided to make a dramatic change to devote his life to landscape photography. Photographing everything from the vast expances of the Arctic, to steaming rainforests and dry deserts. His work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions and published in many international photography magazines.
